Three of The Bulfinch Companies, Inc.'s properties achieve EPA Energy Star rating
Acording to The Bulfinch Companies, Inc., a real estate investment and development firm, three of its properties, Wells Business Center, Derby Corporate Center and Needham Executive Center, have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Energy Star certification.
Wells Business Center, 199 Wells Ave., Newton, is a three-story, 45,672 s/f office building situated on a wooden campus with convenient access to I-95/Rte. 128 via exit 19A, as well as Rte. 9.
Derby Corporate Center is a two-building office campus consisting of 99 and 101 Derby St., Hingham. 99 Derby St. is a three story, 42,863 s/f building and 101 Derby St. is a two story, 19,930 s/f building. The campus is located off Rte. 3 via exit 15 and is directly across the street from the Derby Street Shoppes.
Needham Executive Center is a two-story, 45,312 s/foffice building located at 144 Gould St., Needham, and is directly accessible from Rte. 128 via exit 19B.
Created in 1992, Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps to save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. In order to receive the Energy Star label, a commercial building must achieve a score of 75 or higher on EPA's 1-100 scale through a selective application process.
