J. Calnan & Assocs. completes 45,329 s/f office for Tokio Marine

Wakefield, MA J. Calnan & Associates (JC&A), has completed a 45,329 s/f office for at 701 Edgewater St. As one of the most trusted names in insurance, Tokio Marine has built its reputation on protecting life’s most critical moments. So when it came time to create a new home for their U.S. operations, every decision was guided by a commitment to clarity, control, and confidence – values that align seamlessly with JC&A’s approach.

The space was designed to reflect both brand identity and functionality, resulting in a highly customized environment tailored to how Tokio Marine works today – and where they’re headed tomorrow. Signature features include demountable glass office fronts, acoustical slat ceilings, high-end millwork, and a specialty lighting package that blends aesthetics with performance. Upgraded finishes to the stairwell and 5th floor elevator lobby further reinforce the consistency and care seen throughout the build.

“When a company like Tokio Marine sets the bar high, it challenges everyone involved to rise to the occasion,” said JC&A director of project management | partner, David Conner. “This project is a testament to what’s possible when trust leads the way, teamwork drives the process, and every detail is delivered with purpose. It also reflects the legacy we’ve built at JC&A – one rooted in strong relationships and an unwavering commitment to excellence.”

JC&A thanks the entire project team for their expertise, communication, and commitment to delivering a high-quality space: Savills, G3 Architects, Transamerican Office Furniture, Hobbs Brook Real Estate, and the dedicated JC&A team.

From start to finish, this project exemplifies what JC&A does best – delivering high-performance spaces with confidence built on decades of experience and a relentless focus on client goals.
