North Branch Const. nears completion of 13,500 s/f George and Ella Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson

North Branch Construction, Inc. of Concord, NH will soon complete construction of the new George H. and Ella M. Rodgers Memorial Library located at 194 Derry Rd. The new library, designed by Adams and Smith, LLC of Swampscott, Mass., is a 13,500 s/f single story building with a 2,500 s/f basement and features a stone veneer exterior. The new $5 million ($3.8 million construction) library was a gift to the town from Phillip and Alvin Rodgers in memory of their late parents, long time residents of the town. North Branch began sitework in July of 2008, and foundations were in place in August. Roof trusses were flying in September and by year end, the roofing, exterior siding and veneer stonework were complete. At the present time, interior finishes are nearing completion. Construction will be completed this month. The Rodgers Memorial Library will replace the Hills Memorial Library, which opened it's doors on June 11, 1909. The Hills Library has closed to begin the transition to the new library. The town anticipates to open the Rodgers Memorial Library in May with the grand opening scheduled for June to coincide with the 100th anniversary celebration of the Hills Memorial Library. North Branch Const. celebrated it's 50th anniversary in 2008 and is one of the largest construction firms in New Hampshire. Recent projects include New Hampshire Public Radio's new state of the art broadcast studio in Concord; a new Plant Office Building for Stonyfield Farm in Londonderry; the new Londonderry Bus Terminal in Londonderry; and Exeter Hospital's new Exeter Healthreach Dental Clinic in Exeter.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
