IREM gives out $10,000 in scholarships to 10 women

Boston, MA Thanks to a $10,000 donation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Boston Metro. Chapter No. 4, ten women are in receipt of Women in Leadership scholarships from the national IREM Foundation. The Women in Leadership scholarships were established in honor of IREM’s 90th anniversary, and in celebration of two consecutive years of an all-women leadership team. The IREM Foundation created the scholarship specific to women, which supports education and networking opportunities.

While more than 50% of Certified Property Managers are women, women are still underrepresented in leadership roles within commercial real estate. IREM Foundation scholarships support industry professionals looking to enhance their education through IREM’s world-class certifications.

“We are delighted that our contribution to the IREM Foundation’s Women in Leadership scholarship fund is directly supporting ten women who have chosen the real estate management industry as their career path,” said Chris Salamanis-Rivera, 2024 president of IREM Boston and vice president, learning and development with Beacon Communities. “This donation reflects our commitment to fostering diversity and empowering women in the industry. We believe that by supporting the next generation of female leaders, we are investing in a more inclusive future for our profession.”
