Chelsea, MA Leasing is now underway at DUO, the city’s newest rental apartment community, located at 180 Central Ave. John M. Corcoran & Company’s (JMC) property management team is leading the effort at the site of the former Innes apartments. This all-new construction, 370,000 s/f community includes 330 apartments with access to downtown Boston, public transportation, amenities and ground-floor retail space to benefit the entire community.

“DUO offers an unmatched location, high-quality finishes and phenomenal amenities to today’s savvy renters,” said Cynthia Buckley, marketing director at JMC. “Our team has been preparing for this exciting launch continuing the momentum of several successful recent lease-ups in metro Boston.”

With floorplans ranging from studios to one- and two-bedrooms, the pet-friendly apartments feature two-toned cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, city views, plank flooring in living spaces, closets and in-home laundry.

Centrally located near the Silver Line Station (SL3) at Eastern Ave. and the 112 bus route, DUO is well-positioned for working families and individuals who rely on public transportation. The commute via the Silver Line to the airport is 5 minutes away, 22 minutes to Seaport Blvd., 30 minutes to South Station, and the Chelsea Commuter Rail Station is 5 minutes away. Additionally, residents can access a number of on-site amenities such as a roof deck, dog washing station and dog run, lounge with arcade and TV, work-from-home space and café, playground and courtyard with grill and seating, along with “Hub and Spoke” bike storage.

The project is being developed by John M. Corcoran & Company and Joseph J. Corcoran Company, and their partner, Marcus Partners, in collaboration with the Chelsea Housing Authority, the city of Chelsea and the state’s Economic Office of Housing and Livable Communities. At DUO, 96 apartments are reserved for the relocated public housing residents who once lived at Innes. Additionally, 40 apartments are available for a moderate-income housing program.
