Energy North opens Haffner’s site; includes Sals Pizza & Crack’d Kitchen

Lawrence, MA Energy North has opened its flagship Haffner’s location on Merrimack St. The site includes a gas station, car wash and convenience store, which contains both a Sal’s Pizza and the first ever Crack’d Kitchen Express.

Featuring the bright, bold elements of the revitalized Haffner’s brand and providing customers with an abundance of amenities and local food service options, the 425 Merrimack St. location sets the tone for the company’s future builds.

“We’re excited for the Sal’s brand to be a part of this new location at Riverwalk,” said Sal Lupoli, owner of Sal’s Pizza and Lupoli Companies. “Our partnership with Energy North has provided us with many great opportunities for growth, and I think this new site is a perfect example of that.”

“Crack’d Express is a new venture that we look forward to introducing to our customers,” said Danny Azzarello, co-founder and owner of Crack’d Kitchen and Coffee. “We worked with the team at Energy North to develop an abbreviated menu that will still provide people with the high-quality experience they’ve come to expect. This location is the ideal space for us to roll it out.”

“The Merrimack St. Haffner’s has been years in the making, and I am incredibly proud of the team that made it all happen,” said Jeff Black, CEO of Energy North. “This site sets the bar for all our new Haffner’s locations going forward, and I am excited to finally open its doors to our customers.”

The 24-hour fuel offering features three grades of fuel as well as diesel. Two touchless carwashes and eight vacuums are available for customers to use. In addition to its usual convenience store inventory, beer cave and two foodservice options, the site also contains self-checkout stations.

The Merrimack St. site officially opened its doors on May 8th
