Taurus Investment Holdings completes development agreement with Quechee Lakes

Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC and the Quechee Lakes Landowners' Association, Inc. have completed their comprehensive development agreement for a series of new residential and recreational projects. Through its Vermont-based affiliate, QL Resorts Limited Partnership, Taurus Investment is the proprietary residential developer of single-family homes and condominiums on over 1,500 acres of permitted and subdivided parcels in Quechee Lakes. The area is one of the state's premier four-season community. Located on 5,200 acres, it is distinguished by its natural beauty and upscale amenities including two 18 hole championship golf courses. 12 Har-Tru and all-weather tennis courts, Nordic and Alpine skiing, waterfront activities, over 35 miles of hiking and riding trails, a destination polo field, and indoor and outdoor pools. The Quechee Club also provides a number of other activities, privileges and dining options for its members and guests. "Our new Development Agreement and Declaration provide a sound and reasonable basis for the future development of Quechee Lakes and our membership is confident that we have found a lot of common ground with Taurus and QL Resorts," said landowners' association president Richard Mounce. "We are pleased to have worked through complex issues with the Quechee Lakes Landowners' Association and its Board of Trustees and we're excited to have improved what is already a strong relationship with the community," said Peter Merrigan, CEO of Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC. He added, "New England's resort and second home markets have been through the most challenging times in generations. As they recover, Quechee Lakes' special and unique qualities will attract new buyers and renters from the region and we're planning to announce new, sustainable residential products to meet that demand during the summer."
