Smith of Jewett Construction receives 2024 NHBR Excellence Award

Fremont, NH According to Jewett Construction, Lorianne Smith, AIA, NCARB, director of architecture, has been honored as the 2024 winner of the NH Business Review’s Business Excellence Award in the Real Estate and Construction (Small Business) category. This award recognizes leaders who exemplify imagination, industriousness, and innovation in New Hampshire’s business community.

NHBR’s Business Excellence Awards have been celebrating the accomplishments of outstanding business leaders across New Hampshire for over 20 years. This year’s awards ceremony will take place on October 10th in Manchester, where Smith will be recognized for her contributions to the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry over the past three decades.

Smith’s work has left a lasting impact across various sectors, including senior living, automotive, multifamily, and educational facilities. Her designs are known for their meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to technical excellence. Beyond her architectural achievements, Lorianne is a passionate advocate for women in the AEC industry and a trusted mentor to countless architects and teammates throughout her career.

“My greatest pride comes from nurturing the future leaders and contributors to this industry,” says Smith. Many of her mentees have gone on to achieve significant success, which she considers another source of immense pride.

As the director of architecture at Jewett Construction, Smith leads the Jewett Design LLC team, driving a client-first approach that ensures every project not only meets but exceeds client expectations. Her dedication to innovation and excellence continues to inspire her team and clients alike.
