Procopio celebrates topping off of Daymark project in Portland, ME

Portland, ME The Procopio Companies (Procopio) celebrated the topping off of its Daymark condominium project. Daymark brings a new level of elevated condominium living to the city for Mainers and new transplants alike, and this milestone brings the project one step closer to completion.

“Daymark brings something to Portland that the city has never seen before, and reaching this milestone is the result of efficient, collaborative work by both our team and our project partners,” said Michael Procopio, CEO of The Procopio Cos. “We have already seen strong demand for the unique homes we’re offering at the property and look forward to welcoming our residents to their new community later this year.”

Daymark’s topping off marks the completion of the building’s vertical structure. The seven story, 22,000 s/f mixed-use residential property will offer highly amentitized living in one and two-bedroom residences, with the convenience of proximity to downtown’s food and art destinations. Units feature engineered hardwood floors, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry with dovetail drawers and soft-close hardware, Blomberg appliance packages, individual enhanced ventilation systems, and balconies and walk-in closets in most units. Daymark will offer residents top community amenities including a club room, boutique fitness room, co-working space, sports and gaming lounge, and a unique, hands-on makers space designed to encourage creativity in a city already known for being crafty and homegrown.

Procopio has partnered with Portland architecture firm Archetype Architects for the exterior design, with Boston-based CUBE 3 designing the interiors. Construction management is led by Maine-based construction management firm, PM Construction. Portside Real Estate Group is leading the sales.

“We have been impressed by the strength of buyer interest in Daymark,” said Erin Oldham, associate broker at Portside Real Estate Group. “It is mainly buyers that are wowed by Portland as well as the Daymark amenity package and the look and feel of the high-end design. It is so exciting to see such a diverse group of buyers believe in Bayside, Portland, and Daymark.”

The city has emerged as a top destination for those seeking an engaging and culturally stimulating community outside of the nation’s top metro areas. Ideally situated on the water, the city has something for everyone. Daymark, positioned mere blocks from downtown’s retail and food scene, is conveniently located with access to I-295.

The Procopio Companies has grown 17x in the last 10 years with a successful East Coast portfolio spanning Greater Boston, New Hampshire, and Maine. Procopio is bringing its trademark thoughtful development and community involvement practices to Portland with Daymark, its first project in the area.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
