Prentice elected to the board of directors of the Maine Real Estate & Development Association

Dick Prentice has been elected to the board of directors of the Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA), a statewide organization of commercial real estate owners, developers and related service providers. Prentice joined Pierce Atwood in 2000 as a partner in the real estate group, after practicing in New York City and in New Jersey for 21 years. During the course of his career, Prentice has concentrated his practice in real estate law, focusing on developments, acquisitions, dispositions, leases, easements, brokerage agreements, and other related areas, and has represented a variety of clients, large and small. Prentice's expertise and experience help him counsel clients through the various legal and business issues by offering creative and practical solutions to achieve their objectives. Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Prentice was a partner in the firm of Drinker Biddle and Shanley LLP (formerly known as Shanley & Fisher, P.C.) in New Jersey, and was an associate with the firm formerly known as Estroff, Waldman & Poretsky and the firm of Pavia & Harcourt, both of NYC. MEREDA's business and operations manager, Shelly Clark said, "Dick will make an excellent addition to MEREDA's Board of Directors as he has already been an invaluable resource as an active volunteer on MEREDA's Conference Committee. We are excited to work with him now at the board level."
