Peabody Properties completes 59-unit
Solara apartment complex

Tiverton, RI According to Peabody Properties, Solara, a new construction apartment building has been completed and is expected to be ready for move-in this summer.

Solara is the 17th community managed by Peabody Properties in Rhode Island. It is the sister community of Bourne Mill Apartments, a newly constructed four-story building consisting of 59 mixed-income apartments located on the site of the redeveloped Bourne Mill complex.

The community of artfully designed studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments at Solara will feature amenities including a community room with billiards, lounge and caterer’s kitchen, a library, fitness center, electric car-charging stations, on-site covered parking, bicycle storage, landscaped courtyard with seasonal gardens, scenic pond front setting, and professional management with 24-hour emergency maintenance.

Solara is accessible to shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations and close by to highways and public transportation stops.

Both Solara and Bourne Mill Apartments will benefit from solar heating initiatives as a result of grant funding from the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources. As Net Zero Energy buildings, the total amount of energy used over the course of a year is roughly equal to the amount of renewable energy produced on-site. This balance is achieved through a combination of energy-saving measures, with the goal of reducing environmental impact by minimizing greenhouse gas emissions.
