Peabody Properties adds Union Block Aptartments management portfolio

Taunton, MA Peabody Properties, an affiliate of The Peabody Companies, has added Union Block Apartments, developed by Neighborhood of Affordable Housing, Inc., to its portfolio of managed communities.

Located at 17 Main St. and overlooking the Town Green, the 38-unit mix of affordable, workforce, and market-rate apartments ensures that the community caters to a wide range of residents, including those with varying incomes.

Apartment features include modern kitchens with sleek cabinetry and countertops, energy efficient appliances, ample closet space, tile bathrooms, wood-like plank flooring throughout, and oversized windows with window coverings. Community amenities include community rooms, on-site laundry facilities, on-site parking, elevator access, secure access entry, 24-hour emergency maintenance, and professional management. The community is also pet-friendly and smoke-free.

The downtown location is within walking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants.

The apartment community is the redevelopment of the historic Union Block Building, a structure dating back to the 1860s.

“This restoration project represents a significant effort to revitalize a historic building and provide much-needed housing options to residents of Taunton and surrounding communities,” said Melissa Fish-Crane, principal and CEO of the Peabody Companies. “We look forward to our increased presence in Taunton and getting to know those who will soon call Union Block their home.”
