The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Brothers and Nitsch were selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was announced at a special gala event at the Sheraton Boston. In response to winning the award, Nitsch said, "Since the beginning, I've shared that our success relates to having terrific clients, fabulous employees, and wonderful projects. Throughout our journey, we've focused on this core, which has allowed us to steadily grow." Brothers said, "We're about to celebrate our 25th anniversary, have 85 employees and 15 shareholders, and earned our highest revenues ever last year. We're so excited to win this award, and to continue to drive our company to even greater success!" As New England award winners, Brothers and Nitsch are now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 national program.
