Leasing begins at Franklin at Hancock Village - developed by Chestnut Hill Realty

Brookline, MA More than an answer to widespread housing scarcity throughout Greater Boston, the brand-new apartment homes at the Franklin at Hancock Village not only offer condo-quality luxury living, but also provide residences that are designed to complement a range of lifestyles and life stages. Developed by Hancock Village owner Chestnut Hill Realty, construction of these one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments at The Franklin, will help stimulate economic growth, and provide much-needed housing. This fall, move-ins will begin at the 250-unit building where a model residence is available for in-person and virtual tours at 201 Sherman Rd.

Located on the Olmstead’s VFW Pkwy. near the Longwood Medical area, the Franklin and Hancock Village communities combine the opportunity to live, work and play near a shopping center, medical center, 25,000 s/f community center with pool, set on 100 acres and surrounded by conservation land.

The Franklin is the capstone on an enormous undertaking at Hancock Village, representing the culmination of a multi-year renovation and development plan to modernize and expand the entire 100-acre development, home to more than 3,000 residents living in nearly 1,300 single-level and townhome residences. The vision of Chestnut Hill Realty’s founder and chief executive officer Ed Zuker, the project’s goal has been to create a range of quality apartment home options for individuals, couples and families. Consisting of 480,000 s/f and eight stories, the Franklin has designated 20% of its residences as affordable.

“We are proud to introduce the Franklin building as part of our planned expansion of Hancock Village and ongoing goal of increasing quality housing options in the Boston area,” said Zuker.

“This milestone underscores our commitment to addressing the critical housing shortage and ensuring that Hancock Village proudly continues its nearly 80-year tradition as one of the area’s most vibrant apartment home communities, where residents easily enjoy the opportunity to combine home, work and leisure,” Zuker said.

Featuring sophisticated design elements and community features more typically found in condominium construction, the Franklin’s single-level luxury apartments blend traditional New England charm, contemporary design, and modern lifestyle spaces such as an outdoor putting green, grill and picnic area, fire pits, resident lounges, fitness center, café, community room, HomeWorks office center, conference rooms, game and media rooms, and pet spa. Eco friendly features include low flow plumbing fixtures, LED lighting and EV charging stations. Residents of Franklin and Hancock Village enjoy easy access to the adjacent Hancock Village Shopping Center, where an array of restaurants, shops and convenience services are within walking distance. Brookline’s highly regarded Baker School K-8 and Solbe Pre-K border the property as well. Downtown Boston and the Longwood Medical Area are a short drive away or accessible via MBTA bus service which runs through the community.

Hancock Village owner and operator Chestnut Hill Realty is one of New England’s leading residential real estate companies specializing in multi-family housing and is the owner/manager of 32 apartment properties and 5000 units throughout Greater Boston and Providence, RI.
