King Street Properties named Landlord of the Year by Commercial Brokers Assn.

Boston, MA King Street Properties has been named Landlord of the Year by the membership of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Commercial Brokers Association (CBA).

The firm was honored with the award at the CBA’s Achievement Awards Dinner. The event brings together over 500 leaders and decision- makers in the brokerage industry to support CBA’s mission to provide leadership, advocacy and networking to the brokerage industry. The awards recognize industry professionals and organizations who have distinguished themselves from their peers.

King Street Properties began developing spaces for life-science companies in Greater Boston in 2002. Considered a pioneer in real estate for life sciences, now King Street is one of the largest private owners of life sciences in the area with $1.5 billion in science based real estate within the region’s core sub-markets including Boston, Cambridge and the prime suburbs.

Principals Tom Ragno and Steve Lynch attribute the success of the firm to their talented team. “We are very proud to receive the award of landlord of the year and want to thank the Commercial Brokers Association for considering us,” said Lynch. “We pride ourselves on creating places and spaces for our tenants to do groundbreaking work that will have an impact on our world. Thank you to our team of employees, partners and tenants who have made this possible.”

King Street’s portfolio includes first class life science facilities in Cambridge, Waltham, Lexington, and Framingham. The firm is working on several ground-up developments and is permitting a mixed-use project on Western Avenue in Allston called NEXUS which is anchored by state-of-the art life science research space.

Among its civic and charitable activities, King Street is particularly proud of its co-sponsorship of the Mass Life Science Center’s Next Generation Initiative, a five-year, $2 million effort to promote gender parity in science entrepreneurship through grants and executive coaching awarded through an annual competition.
