Integrated Builders completes site work for Shops at Quonset Point

Integrated Builders recently completed the site work for the 25-acre The Shops at Quonset Point and built the 80,000 s/f Outside Air Center, which houses Dave's Marketplace grocery store. In addition, Integrated Bldrs. completed tenant fit ups for Super Cuts and Hollywood Nails at the mixed-use office and retail complex whose first phase development has been recently completed. As part of an $80 million master development plan, The Shops at Quonset Point is being developed by New Boston Fund's Urban Strategy America Fund, an investment fund that executes on the promise of a triple bottom line, generating solid returns to investors, spurring economic development, and promoting environmental sustainability. The first phase of the project consisted of 200,000 s/f of space, including 160,000 s/f of retail and 40,000 s/f of office space. Integrated Bldrs. was responsible for all site development, utility infrastructure, Kohl's pad and utilities and construction of the 80,000 s/f Outside Air Center, which also included a shell for a 25,000 s/f Dave's Marketplace grocery store. The entire development, when completed, is expected to have a limited-service hotel, a visitor's center, drug store, coffee shop, restaurants, a bank, small shops, and two anchor stores. The design incorporates innovative, sustainable elements such as use of recycled materials, and other environmentally friendly strategies. "We're very pleased to have completed this exciting project," said Jay Dacey, president of Integrated Builders. "It's a top-notch, mixed-used development project in Rhode Island." Architect for the project was Bergmeyer Associates, Inc. Other members of the project team included civil engineer: Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc.; structural engineer: ODEH Engineers, Inc., and MEP engineer: AHA Consulting Engineers, Inc.
