Harrington of Malone Commercial leases 6,891 s/f

Peter Harrington of Malone Commercial Brokers leased 6,891 s/f at 129 Middle St. to First Wind. The space includes the entire 3rd floor of the historic Rackleff Block building. First Wind is an independent wind energy company concentrating on the development, ownership and operation of wind farms. They are currently focused on developing wind farms in the northeastern and western regions of the United States as well as in Hawaii. The company recently reached an agreement with Harvard University to supply its Cambridge and Allston campuses with electricity from a wind farm in Northern Maine. "This lease is a positive sign for both Portland and the State of Maine. First wind is expanding in Portland to offer service and develop wind farms in Maine," said Harrington.
