Wayne Jalbert

Danvers, MA Hancock Associates, a leading provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is celebrating 45 years in business. Frank Hancock, PLS, PE, founded the firm in 1978 to provide land surveying and civil engineering services in Essex County, Mass. Donald Desmond, who assisted Hancock in creating the firm and added wetland science as a service, became president in 1984 and Wayne Jalbert became president in 2016. Today, Hancock Associates has offices in Boston, Brockton, Chelmsford, Danvers, Marlborough, Newburyport, Palmer and Princeton, Mass. and Concord, N.H. and over 100 employees to serve clients in Mass., N.H., Conn. and R.I.

Hancock Associates has maintained their position as an industry leader for 45 years through their investment in staff, equipment/technology and acquisition of multiple surveying and engineering firms. Over the years, they have also amassed an impressive archive of historical survey records dating back to 1852 from nearly 40 land surveying and civil engineering firms. These records assist Hancock in performing surveying tasks quickly and cost-effectively and are an invaluable resource for other organizations and individuals.

“Hancock Associates has enjoyed great success for 45 years. It’s a testament to the exceptional skill and integrity of our staff and the quality of our work,” said Jalbert. “We’re very proud of our history and excited to continue the Hancock legacy for the next 45 years and beyond.”
