Crystal Window & Door Systems launches new aluminum projected window line

Boston, MA National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems launched the latest addition to its broad line of quality aluminum and vinyl windows. The Series 8500/8600 aluminum projected window line, available in a variety of styles with frame depth and insulating glass thickness options, is suitable for numerous replacement and new construction applications. The window line’s high AAMA ratings and continuous master frame position it as a cost effective step up from competitor products.

The new Crystal 8500 Series is available in four styles – out-swing casement (8500), fixed (8510), project-out awning (8520) and project-in hopper (8530). Standard with strong durable 2-5/8” depth frames and sashes, the line boasts AAMA architectural ratings from AW-PG80 to AW-PG100. Of great appeal to owners, architects and installers is the continuous single master frame which offers the ability to combine up to three windows of the same or varying styles in one grouping.

“Our new Series 8500 aluminum window line master frame allows property owners and designers to achieve the modern fenestration look so desired in today’s buildings while saving time, effort and money over traditional ‘stacking’ and ‘ganging’ of separate windows using mullions,” said Steve Chen, Crystal chief operating officer. “High end European style hardware, a face flange frame option, as well as custom trim and panning accessories ensure this new product line stands out from the crowd.”

The new Crystal Series 8500 windows use concealed four-bar stainless steel friction hinges and single operation stainless steel multi-point locks for all casements and large size awnings and hoppers assuring smooth, secure operation. Double rows of bulb weatherstripping on the sashes keep out the elements. An integral pull handle on the sash is a standard feature on the casement window, and limit stops are an option. Also available are optional screens for all the operating windows. All Crystal products are finished using durable AAMA 2604 powder coat paints.

The new Crystal windows feature 1” insulating glass with the PPG Intercept Ultra spacer system as standard. For even better thermal and sound attenuation performance, 1-¼” thick insulating glass units are an option.

The 8600 Series replicates everything from the 8500 line as far as styles, features and options, except it features a 3-¼” frame. The 3-¼” frame readily adapts to many building applications, especially traditional window replacements. The larger frame size mulls easily with the other 3-¼” products in Crystal’s vast product line.

Crystal Window & Door Systems is one of the top 35 manufacturers in North America of replacement and new construction vinyl and aluminum window and door products and high-end fenestration systems. Crystal offers a full product line, rapid order-to-delivery times, quality workmanship, innovative product features, outstanding value, and an experienced and knowledgeable staff. Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
