Community Loan Fund assists Aberdeen West Coop purchase of manufactured housing community

The residents of a manufactured housing park have purchased their 23-unit community, becoming New Hampshire's 93rd resident-owned manufactured housing community. Using funding, education and technical assistance and training from the Community Loan Fund, residents organized and formed the Aberdeen West Cooperative, Inc. in February 2009 in order to buy their park and run it as a cooperative. The group then negotiated with park owner Aberdeen Realty Trust for the purchase price of $1.05 million before finalizing the deal July 14.
