BOMA Boston update: Sept. 17 Preparedness Roundtable

Boston, MA BOMA Boston celebrated the end of summer with an August Networking Nite held on Thursday, August 22nd at Ned Devine’s. Over 100 members and friends gathered for a lively night of commercial real estate industry networking, hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., compliments of Compass Facility Services! 

Join BOMA Boston for a September Preparedness Roundtable on Tuesday, September 17th! Kick off the “back to school” season with this annual luncheon program at Atlantic Wharf, Boston from 11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Joe Donavan, SVP, Beacon Capital will provide tools and ideas on how best to develop, manage, and execute emergency and crisis management plans in your building. He will also discuss some of the top issues facing CRE. This program is complimentary to BOMA Boston members. 

New to BOMA Boston or looking to learn more about the organization? Stop by the BOMA Boston office on September 25th for a Connect with BOMA Breakfast! Learn about committee involvement, networking opportunities, BOMI course offerings, how to become more involved with BOMA, and more from our board of directors and members in a casual group setting. BOMA staff will be on site to answer any questions you might have regarding your membership. The breakfast will take place from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Hosted by BOMA Boston’s affiliate members, Fallfest will be taking place on Thursday, October 10th, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the newly renovated atrium at 401 Park in Boston’s Fenway! With over 300 CRE professionals in attendance, this is sure to be a great night of networking, prizes and more. 

Save the date for one of commercial real estate’s biggest nights: The Annual BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards! Join 600 industry friends and colleagues as we recognize the best and brightest in property management, building operations, and service in the real estate industry. The TOBY & Industry Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 20th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Marriott Copley Place, 110 Huntington Ave., Boston. 

BOMA’s partnership with BOMI International remains strong. Through educational offerings, BOMA members and mon-members learn from senior professionals in the commercial real estate industry to work towards earning their RPA or FMA designations, or PAC or PMFP certifications. The next course, Design, Operations and Maintenance Part 2, will take place beginning September 12th and conclude on September 20th. The course will be instructed by Mike Gill with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and will be taking place at the BOMA Boston offices.
