Bedwell joins Cottonwood Management Group as senior project manager

Boston, MA Cottonwood Management Group has appointed Becky Bedwell as senior project manager of its EchelonSeaport project. Joining Rebecca Mattson, project executive and Mike Schumacher, senior vice president of development, Bedwell will oversee the interior construction of the three tower, mixed-use development, including the lobby and amenity spaces.

“Becky has shaped and enhanced a number of landmark projects in Boston’s real estate market,” said Alexander Shing, chairman and CEO of Cottonwood. “Her experience is invaluable as we premiere our new lifestyle concept at Echelon Seaport, a project that is heightening destination living through unparalleled service and luxury in Boston’s thriving Seaport District.”

Prior to joining Cottonwood, Bedwell was senior construction manager at Samuels & Associates. At Samuels she managed highly visible mixed-use developments across Boston. Her portfolio spans across four million s/f and includes Pierce Boston, Van Ness, Landmark Center, 1330 Boylston and Fenway Triangle Trilogy. Additionally, Bedwell worked for Colliers International, Menemsha Construction Solutions and Forest City where she managed over 1,400 keys of hospitality renovations in Massachusetts and 280 retail bank conversions across the country.

Over the past 15 years, Bedwell has proven to be a strong asset in the formation of crucial long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships between owners and contractors in the construction industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tufts University and has completed coursework in Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Finance at Boston University.

Having broken ground this past June, EchelonSeaport is a 1.33 million s/f mixed-use development in the heart of the Seaport. Once completed, the project will comprise of three residential towers encompassing 887,000 square feet of luxury condominiums and 125,000 square feet of world-class retail. A curated central piazza with a landmark bridge, outdoor seating and a beautiful tree canopy will connect EchelonSeaport to the surrounding neighborhood. The project is one of the largest developments currently under construction in Boston, with phased completion dates in late 2019 and early 2020. EchelonSeaport’s interactive Sales Center will open in early 2018 at 101 Seaport Boulevard, adjacent to the development.
