Angel of Angel Commercial sells industrial land for $2.65 million
Jon Angel, president of Angel Commercial LLC, a Southport-based commercial
real estate brokerage firm, completed the sale of 2.044 acres of industrial land located at 2135 Commerce Dr., Bridgeport and 1 & 5 Commerce Dr., Fairfield, for $2.65 million to One Commerce Drive, LLC, operating as Land Rover and Jaguar.
This parcel is the final remaining acreage of the former Connecticut Limo site. The purchase will relocate Land Rover of Milford to a new 18,752 s/f sales and service facility, designed by Phil Cerrone, architect. In addition to Land Rover inventory, the new premises will cater to the sales and service of Jaguar vehicles and be called Jaguar Land Rover Centre.
Over the past decade, Commerce Dr. has been redeveloped into an automotive dealership destination. Land Rover and Jaguar will join Audi, Porsche, and Infiniti, Mercedes and the planned Hyundia dealerships, strengthening the street as an automotive retail hub.
"The town planning and zoning application to develop the property was unique since the land is located within the municipalities of both Bridgeport and Fairfield and required individual approvals. Attorney David Quatrella represented the applicant to make this plan a reality and also led the previous effort to sell and develop the adjacent parcel into a six story, 127,000 s/f self-storage facility which opened last year," said Angel.
The seller, CLS Bridgeport, LLC was represented by Angel Commercial and the purchaser, One Commerce Drive, LLC was represented by Coldwell Banker.
