Acella Construction Corp., a construction management firm serving the region for more than a decade, has been named construction manager (design-build) for the renovation of and addition to the Island Terrace Nursing Home, located at 57 Long Point Rd.
Site work on the $8 million project began last month, and is expected to be completed in July 2015. Included in the scope of this project is installation of a new wastewater treatment system and storm water management system. According to Acella senior project manager Ryan Klebes, the design-build documentation for the project is already 50% complete. Acella brought on Mehdi Khosrovani of NEMD Architects (Providence, R.I.) as the architect for the project.
