“Shortly after joining Dyer Brown Anna emerged as the clear choice for the Director of Design role. Her business development acumen has proven invaluable to our growth, and her insights into workplace strategy and into design trends across multiple sectors make her indispensable for optimizing client service and project outcomes.” - Brent Zeigler, AIA, IIDA, CID, President at Dyer Brown & Associates.
In the last 12 months what accomplishment are you most proud of? Naturally I’m proud of being named as Director of Design, which is an honor and also a challenge in an established and storied firm such as Dyer Brown. But more so I share our whole team’s excitement and pride at being included in Interior Design Magazine’s recent “Sustainability Giants of Design 2024” rankings, which reflects our core commitment to environmentally responsible design in all our project work and in every aspect of our practice.
Outside of your career, where else do you seek continuous learning and personal growth? Lately I’ve been searching out and reading books and research on how all brains are “atypical” and everyone creates, thinks and interacts with their environment uniquely – that there is no “right way” of thinking. This perspective has helped me tap into my own personal points of inspiration, enhancing my contributions to molding and forming physical environments, whether solo or collaborative. When we recognize “atypical” is actually normal, we benefit from everyone’s amazing strengths and skills.
