Within your firm, who has helped you succeed within the industry? How have they helped you? At Callahan, every layer of the company has contributed toward my success. As a project manager, my peers helped me complete successful projects for our clients. As a project executive, the project teams that I worked with and our in-house resources helped me to lead successful teams. Now, as director of internal operations, our leadership has helped me by giving me the opportunity to affect change in our organization.

What tips or advice would you offer to other women who are considering entering the construction industry? My advice to women entering the construction industry is to jump in and be confident. Whether you’ve grown up around construction, studied it in school or are taking a leap into a new industry, you can succeed if you put in the right effort. Ask questions, take every opportunity to learn something new and always believe in yourself.
