Whipple and Vahey of Corvus Group sell 40 acres

Tod Whipple, CCIM and Shane Vahey of Corvus Group sold 40 acres for Valley Bible Church. The parcel is located at 0 Melsi Rd. adjacent to the newly constructed Upper Valley Aquatic Center just south of I-89/91. Essex Capital a Boston based venture firm is proposing a 2.2 megawatt solar farm installation in White River Junction. The project is estimated to cost $10 million and could power up to 400 homes. The solar farm takes advantage of the VermontSpeed program conceived to stimulate and promote development of renewable energy in the state. The land went under contract in fall of 2011 and closed May 25. The listing price was $685,000.
