Waverley Oaks Athletic Club hires Healy and begins renovation

According to Duffy Properties, large scale renovations are currently underway at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club transforming it into a modern, leading edge facility. In addition to renovations to the club's existing fitness center, pool and locker room facilities, the transformation will also introduce members to new products and services including three custom studios providing a wider variety of classes, a spacious childcare center plus youth programs and new state of the art equipment. Adam Healy, a sixteen year veteran of the fitness industry, was recently hired by Duffy Properties as the general manager for the club and to also oversee the renovation project. Prior to joining Waverley Oaks Athletic Club, Healy was the member services director at the Mount Auburn Club and also served on the board of directors of the New England Health, Racquet & Sports Club Association. "Adam has a wealth of industry experience that will help take our health club to a new level," said Eric Magennis, division operations manager of Duffy Properties. "His travels to clubs throughout the region and around the country give him a unique perspective as to what clientele are looking for in a full service club and he will apply that vision to Waverley Oaks Athletic Club." Owned and operated by Duffy Properties, Waverley Oaks Athletic Club is a 46,000 s/f sports and fitness complex. The club provides a wide array of programs, equipment and services and continually adapts its offerings to incorporate the most current fitness trends. Headquartered at Waverley Oaks Park, Duffy Properties is a family-owned, full service real estate development and management firm. In addition to its properties in Waltham, the company owns commercial properties throughout Eastern Mass.
