New Haven, CT Verada said that Rock Spot Climbing has signed a new 15 year lease for 5,935 s/f in total at 44 Olive St. The development, Olive and Wooster, features 299 residences for lease and 8,000 s/f of retail space on Olive St. in Wooster Sq. across the street from Sally’s Pizza. Verada’s Nate Mallon and Brendan Thrapp represented the building’s ownership, Adam America Real Estate, in the transaction. The asking price was $45 per s/f.

The space will house Rock Spot Climbing, an established climbing & bouldering gym concept with seven locations in New England. This newest location will focus solely on a form of climbing known as bouldering, where climbers, using no ropes, scale climbing problems set on fifteen foot walls protected by a fully padded flooring system. This style of climbing will be featured in the 2024 Olympics in France and will be the company’s third gym that focuses on this style of climbing.

Nadav Minkin, co-owner of Rock Spot Climbing said, “We are so excited to provide our brand of accessible and inclusive climbing to the city of New Haven and the surrounding area. We hope this facility will be a place for people of all ages and abilities to discover and enjoy the sport with friends and family.”

Omri Sacks, co-founder of Adam America said, “We love the concept and the experience Rock Spot brings to Olive and Wooster. We think our tenants at Olive and Wooster and the community of greater New Haven will fully take advantage of such a fun and healthy activity. We wish Rock Spot the best of luck!”

Thrapp, managing partner of Verada continued,  “I think it is a great fit for the building, which already includes amenities such as a large pool, courtyard and fitness center but also Wooster Sq. and New Haven as a whole. Rock Spot will definitely attract climbing lovers young and old to an already incredible neighborhood!”
