Vantage completes 11,000 s/f build-out at 60 Jefferson Park Road

Warwick, RI Vantage Builders, Inc., a general contracting and construction firm based in Waltham, Mass., completed the build-out of a new location for The Learning Experience at 60 Jefferson Park Rd.

The new 11,000 s/f location is The Learning Experience’s first center in the state. The Learning Experience is one of the nation’s fastest growing academies of early education for children ages six weeks to five years old. Vantage Builders was hired by building ownership, Waldorf Capital Management.

“The early education and daycare market is definitely a high-growth area right now,” said Ryan LaVangie, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Vantage Builders. “We enjoyed working with The Learning Experience, one of the premier providers in the country, as they expand in the Northeast. There was a true collaborative approach to this project, among VantageBuilders, The Learning Experience and Waldorf Capital Management.”

The project began with a complete gutting of the building, which was previously occupied by a security systems company.  Following designs from Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, which has worked on more than 100 The Learning Experience centers nationally, Vantage transformed the building into a vibrant, bright, welcoming location that will attract children and their parents.

Vantage created a staff room and lounge for caregivers to eat lunch or enjoy a break, a large pantry and a laundry room. Additional interior work includes all new finishes, such as custom millwork, drywall, ceilings, flooring and paint.

Outside Vantage built two playgrounds, as well as a soccer field with artificial field turf. The exterior work also included repaving, repainting and installation of bollards in the parking lot.  Building systems work included a new HVAC system, a fire sprinkler system, plumbing and a new roof.
