USGBC awards "Most Innovative Product" to Net Zero Energy Training Program
In entertaining fashion, BuildingGreen's Jim Newman MC'd the USGBC Chapter Earth Day Party for more than 100 Chapter members. Hosted since 2008, the annual event connects the local green building community and recognized innovation throughout the state.
The USGBC Chapter honored NEXUS with 2010's "Most Innovative Product" for the Net Zero Energy (NZE) Training Program. More than a dozen projects were submitted under the "Best Project" and "Best Product" categories. The submittals were judged based on how they met three criteria: Innovativeness, Significance and Replicability.
The award was received by Ravi Srinivasan, director of technology & innovation and Aaron Desatnik, marketing manager at NEXUS.
Providence, RI Shawmut Design and Construction celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking for the 195 District Park Pavilion, marking the start of construction on a facility that will feature year-round dining and support space for park operations.
