True Storage opens its third self-storage development this year located at 2201 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA

Wilbraham, MA True Storage opened its third self-storage development this year located at 2201 Boston Rd. This completion marks the company’s first ground-up completion in 2024, and their second multi-story new build in Massachusetts. The design build self-storage developer bought the acreage on Boston Rd. in 2022 and completed the two-story build earlier this month.

This class A self-storage ground up features True Storage’s expertise in development of storage facilities that serve a public need. Day-to-day operations will be managed by Extra Space Storage, while True Storage retains ownership of the property.

The property features 65,403 net rentable s/f throughout 671 climate-controlled units of varying sizes to accommodate storage needs for local businesses and individuals. Located on Boston Rd. (US Rte. 20) the site is located next to Dunkin Donuts, Big Y Supermarket, The Home Depot, and various restaurants. The property lies about five miles outside of Springfield, and less than ten miles to the Connecticut border.

The town and local officials were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.” 

This site will feature flexible hours, 24-hour interior and exterior video surveillance, security access to the unit, an assortment of unit sizes, covered loading bay, and high-end finishes throughout the facility.

True Storage, a self-storage developer that focuses on bringing value and lifestyle experiences to communities across the country, has proudly developed several other class A facilities in Mass., N.H., ME, GA, R.I., FL, Indiana, Conn., Wisconsin, Illinois, N.Y., and Kentucky.
