Waltham, MA Tocci Building Companies has completed work on Waltham Landing located at 431 River St. Developed by Charles River Place, LLC, the luxury residential project totals 51,000 s/f and features 34 two-bedroom apartment units atop four ground-level retail spaces comprising 8,260 s/f.

“We were honored to be selected by the ownership group based solely upon their knowledge of our reputation as a preeminent construction company that handles clients correctly and makes a complicated process easy for developers,” said Bud LaRosa, chief business performance officer at Tocci. “Waltham presented a wonderful opportunity to work in an infill location with luxury-level housing within easy commuting distance to Boston and Eastern Mass. Even though site work and project start date occurred during last year’s historic Winter conditions, Tocci helped guide the project into a successful completion and it is rapidly filling with tenants.”

“Tocci was a valuable asset for the development team,” said Matt Dillon of Charles River Place. “Their project managers were great with communication and effectively minimized delays and delivered a quality project.”

Each apartment, including the four penthouse units, features an open concept layout with high-end amenities including granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, kitchen islands, keyless entry, and hardwood floors. Additionally, Waltham Landing features on-site amenities such as a fitness/wellness center, designated parking spots, high-quality ground floor retail, electric car charging station, a pet-friendly atmosphere, and rooftop balconies with views of the Boston skyline. Waltham Landing is located within a community, and walking distance to Waltham Center, with commuting capabilities into Boston and surrounding suburbs.

Tocci collaborated with architects Costa Architects and structural engineering consultants Cowen Associates, and worked on behalf of owner Charles River Place. Waltham Landing is situated across the street from the local MBTA commuter rail station and a short walk from the city’s downtown corridor.

Tocci specializes in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Highly Collaborative Project Delivery (HCPDSM), and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). Tocci was an early adopter of VDC in the Northeast and in 2006 committed to use it on all projects.
