Three BOMA Boston buildings win Regional TOBY Awards

Boston, MA On Wednesday, April 13 to Friday, April 15, the 2016 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) was hosted in Philadelphia. The conference concluded with the Regional Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, where three Boston buildings were awarded and will now be moving on to the international competition:

• Historical Building: 200 Berkeley St. - Managed by John Hancock Financial Services;

• 500,000 – 1 million s/f: 99 High St. - Managed by JLL; and

• Over 1 million s/f: One Financial Center - Managed by JLL.

International winners will be announced at BOMA International’s Every Building Conference and Expo, to be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in Washington, D.C. from June 25-28.

BOMA Boston is federated with BOMA International and is the 3rd largest of BOMA International’s 93 affiliates and BOMA Boston membership includes membership with BOMA International.

BOMA Boston Partners with IFMA Boston on WELL Building Standards event. On Wednesday, May 18, the IFMA Boston sustainability committee will host a panel discussion on the pros and cons of WELL certification, share real-world examples, discuss post-implementation results and lessons learned.  The event will be held at the Boston Society of Architects, AIA at 290 Congress St. from 5:30 – 8 p.m. This event is free for BOMA members.

Save the Date for BOMA Boston’s Annual Summer Tournaments! On Monday, June 6, BOMA Boston will host the annual Striped Bass & Bluefish Fishing Tournament out of Rowes Wharf in Boston. Event participants will enjoy a half-day of fishing followed up by an Awards Luncheon Reception at The Daily Catch. Sponsorship and other fishing opportunities are still available.

Save the date for BOMA Boston’s Golf Cup Tournament on Monday, July 11 at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth. This annual tournament draws over 200 attendees for a full day out on the course, followed by a networking dinner reception and Awards Presentation. Sponsorship and foursome opportunities are now available.
