The Greene twins, Plante and Donegan awarded 2014 ASM scholarships

One of the highlights of ASM's Golf Tournament on July 14 at The International Golf Club was the presentation of our 2014 ASM Scholarship Awards, funded by proceeds from the event. Competition for the four, $2,000 awards was stiff, with over 30 highly qualified applicants from ASM member companies across the state. The young men and women selected by our Scholarship Committee showed exceptional talent - all excelling in their studies, while also juggling community, charitable and athletic activities - and even entrepreneurial pursuits - in their free time. The 2014 winners include brother and sister twins Brady and Fallon Greene, sponsored by Chapman Waterproofing, who will be entering Northeastern University and the University of New Hampshire, respectively; Tucker Plante, sponsored by Mark Richey Woodworking, who will be headed to Colby College; and Ryan Donegan, sponsored by T.J. McCartney, Inc. , who is currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University. We congratulate them all and wish them success as they pursue their college and career dreams! Shown (from left) are: Brady and Fallon Greene, Tucker Plante, ASM golf chair Steve Kenney, and Ryan Donegan.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
