10-27-2014 - ASM event highlights mobile technologies for construction

Increasingly, general contractors are requiring subcontractors to utilize modern technology and devices to communicate, view documents, and share information on the job site. Subcontractors must adopt these new technologies, or risk losing valuable project opportunities. To help subcontractors stay ahead of the curve, ASM is hosting a Technology Showcase on Monday, Oct. 27 focusing on the mobile devices, software, and technologies currently in use on project sites. It features a panel of experts, including contractors currently using these technologies, and technology vendors. Discussion will cover topics such as remote access - who should have it?; remote time capture; and differences in hardware (smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) The event takes place at Embassy Suites, Waltham from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and also features vendor exhibits and a networking reception where attendees can check out the latest technological solutions. For more information, contact ASM.
