The Bulfinch Companies completes 150 room AC Hotel at Cambridge Discovery Park

Cambridge, MA The Bulfinch Companies completed the newly constructed AC Hotel Boston Cambridge at its 820,000 s/f laboratory, office and technology campus, Cambridge Discovery Park (CDP). This is the second AC Hotel, owned and operated by Colwen Hotels, opened in the Boston area and the 13th opened in the U.S.

The four-story establishment features 150 stylish guest rooms, 3,600 s/f of meeting space, an outdoor patio with fire pits and lounge seating, indoor saltwater pool and a state of the art fitness center.  Park tenants and hotel guests will enjoy signature art and spaces, designed by Barcelona’s Antonio Catalan, throughout the hotel including the AC Kitchen, AC Library, and AC Lounge.

“Cambridge Discovery Park is an ideal location for an innovative boutique hotel like AC Hotels By Marriott,” said Bulfinch SVP, director of leasing Michael Wilcox. “We are pleased to bring a world-class hotel to the Park not only for our tenants, but for the surrounding community who will also benefit from its easily accessible location and cutting-edge services and amenities.”

The AC Hotel Boston Cambridge is located within Cambridge Discover Park, a world class, 27-acre office and research campus in Cambridge. CDP currently features 400,000 s/f in three buildings and a parking garage, an abundance of lush green space, powerful infrastructure and public utilities. Surrounded by Alewife Brook Reservation, it is one of the largest campuses in Cambridge. Approximately 250,000 s/f of new lab, R&D, and first class office space has been permitted and is a tremendous build-to-suit opportunity within the Park. CDP is accessible by foot or a five-minute shuttle ride from the Alewife MBTA Red Line Station, 20 minutes from Boston and Logan Airport, and nine minutes to Rte. 128.

“We are excited to see the completion of this next phase of development at Cambridge Discovery Park,” said JLL managing director Pete Bekarian. “The visionary team at Bulfinch has continued to position the campus as one of the leaders in this region, and this is just the latest in what has become a robust list of amenities at the park.”

In addition to the new AC Hotel, Cambridge Discovery Park’s other amenities include: outdoor seating, an on-site café, a full service fitness and yoga center, Zagster bike-sharing, Zipcar, multiple bike racks, electric car charging stations, garage parking, ATM banking, and a new riverfront park.

JLL’s leasing team is led by Pete Bekarian, managing director John Osten, and executive vice president Molly Heath.
