The best night of the year to be IREM Boston president - by Nancy Reno

Nancy Reno

On October 16th the Boston Metropolitan Chapter of IREM hosted its annual awards night. As the 2019 president it was my honor to host a celebration that recognized and highlighted so many of our dedicated members.

The evening kicked off with the installation of thirteen new IREM members. We at IREM believe in our people, and we provide the tools they need to succeed. As the industry leader in quality education and ethical practices we are committed to the success of the emerging professionals in our industry. We open doors, we forge connections, and we help show the way forward. I couldn’t be prouder to see so many new members join our Chapter. It is a true reflection of the quality standards at IREM.

Each year The IREM awards committee receives countless award nominations from members, associates, and industry partners. The committee reviews and considers each submission and ultimately select the year’s award recipients.

It was my honor and a privilege to present this year’s awards to a group of professionals, who demonstrated outstanding leadership through their actions, compassion and dedication to IREM.

• 2019 Accredited Residential Manager of the Year: Yoany Vargas, Housing Management Resources

• 2019 Certified Property Manager Candidate of the Year Kimberly Parker, The Abrams Management  Company, Inc

• 2019 Certified Property Manager of the Year: Gregg Jenner, The Simon Companies

• 2019 Industry Partner of the Year: Steve Emerson, The Norfolk Companies

• 2019 Accredited Management Organization of the Year: First Realty Management

Congratulations to all these amazing professionals and the evening didn’t stop there. The presentation of the 2019 Landscaping awards were presented along with dinner, dancing and live entertainment from the chapter’s favorite singer and DJ, Vanessa Salvucci, of Service Masters Restore.

It was truly a special evening and I would like once again to thank my 2019 chapter leadership team, our dedicated sponsors and all of our members who manage to make a difference.
