Tecta America New England is celebrating their 35th anniversary
- Donovan named operating unit president

John Donovan

Tecta America New England is proud to be celebrating our 35th anniversary providing commercial and industrial roofing services to businesses across the Northeast. The company began as Delta Roofing in 1988, established by Peter Owens, Brett Chapman and Carolie Owens. Through hard work, quality products, prompt service and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Delta experienced exponential growth. Tecta America, one of the largest commercial roofing companies in the country, took notice and in 2007 Delta Roofing became Tecta America New England under the leadership of president Peter Owens.

In 2021 general manager John Donovan was promoted to president of Tecta America WeatherGuard, and in January 2022 he became operating unit president (OUP) of Tecta America New England. Owens continued to support Tecta America New England as executive chairman until December 2022, when he officially began enjoying his well-deserved retirement. Donovan’s strong work ethic, leadership skills and commitment to excellence will help our teams reach new levels of success and expand our foothold in the Northeast.

Tecta America New England’s roofing industry expertise includes industrial, warehousing, commercial offices, tenant fit-ups, shopping malls, biotech, healthcare, sports stadiums, educational institutions and state, local and federal government buildings. In addition to new construction roofing installations and reroofing projects we’ve developed one of the region’s largest service businesses, including emergency service, preventive maintenance, roof asset management and thermal imaging by our certified thermographers.

Because Tecta America is approved by every major roofing product manufacturer, Tecta America New England stands behind our work and the manufacturers stand behind us. Along with a reputation for excellence comes a long list of happy customers; they and our team members are the company’s most valuable assets. We’re proud to have several 35-year employees who are still with us, as well as many clients who have been with us since the beginning.

We’re dedicated to attracting and maintaining skilled workers who take pride in a job well done, and our continued focus is providing employees with an attractive career path, not just a job. Our crews receive in-depth training and education every year, including health and safety courses, industry certifications, leadership development and more. Employees also receive benefits which include employer-matched 401(k), health insurance, paid time off and referral bonuses.

Tecta America New England’s home office is in North Billerica. With additional offices in Brockton, MA, Portland, ME and East Hartford, CT, we have the skills, experience and manpower to meet customers’ commercial and industrial roofing needs anywhere in the region.

Along with Tecta America New England’s four locations, our sister company Tecta America WeatherGuard in Schenectady, NY provides the same top-notch service and attention to detail to facility managers and property owners in the Albany and western MA areas.
