Suffolk delivers $150 million science facility for Boston College

Boston, MA Suffolk, one of the most innovative real estate and construction enterprises and builders in the country, has delivered the 245 Beacon St. integrated science facility for Boston College. The $150 million building is the largest single investment in the sciences at Boston College.

The new state-of-the-art science center will be home to the Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society and 150,000 s/f of classrooms, labs, faculty offices, collaboration and maker spaces to teach and conduct research in computer science robotics, prototype research and nanotechnology research.

Suffolk managed construction of the building in the heart of an operational and vibrant Boston College campus. As a result of early planning and close collaboration with Boston College and the trade partners, the project team was able to minimize risk and address challenges related to the heavy student traffic, campus location and accelerated schedule.
