Sturdivant joins Erland Construction’s Advanced Technology/Life Sciences Group

Burlington, MA Jay Sturdivant, project executive, has joined Erland Construction’s Advanced Technology/Life Sciences Group. Sturdivant and Chuck Vaciliou, senior vice president & director of client services, will manage Erland’s opportunities for growth in specialty lab, cleanroom, and complex MEP system projects.

Sturdivant brings more than 30 years of construction experience to Erland. His position reflects Erland’s strong presence in the advanced technology and life science markets. With his extensive background and understanding of the unique qualities that characterize building in these industries, Sturdivant is ready to deliver Erland’s standard of excellence and cultivate partnerships with leaders in advanced technologies and life sciences. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge including several years with William A. Berry & Sons–one of the region’s oldest general contractors specializing in healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology construction.

Prior to joining Erland, Sturdivant served as construction manager where he developed and executed turn-around strategies on projects of mid-construction valued at $20-$50 million. He is a graduate of the University of Maine and has continued his education at Harvard Extension School.
