Society for Marketing Professional Services Boston names new board

Boston, MA Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Boston, a volunteer organization for marketing professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industries, has named its new board of directors for the upcoming program year. The new board includes twelve members of SMPS Boston, all of whom represent and help the organization in meeting its new vision, “Business Transformed Through Marketing Leadership.” The board has dedicated this program year to the theme Shake Things Up to celebrate SMPS’ newly launched vision and brand refresh. Throughout the year we will be developing programming to inspire our members to create and embrace change, test out new ideas and launch new initiatives. It’s time to Shake Things Up and propel our firms into the future of A/E/C.

SMPS Boston is one of the largest and most active chapters in the SMPS. This year marks the chapter’s 37th year. The organization has over 25 programs to unveil in the upcoming year and special events to celebrate its members. The 2018-19 board of directors is represented by the following impressive roster of A/E/C marketing and business development professionals. 

The 2018-19 board of directors includes:  

• Valerie Puchades, CPSM - president; director of marketing at GUND Partnership; 

• Suzanne King, CPSM - vice president/president elect; marketing manager at Mass. Electric Construction Co.;

• Pia Cardinali, CPSM - immediate past president; marketing director at CRJA; 

• Andrew Beaton - secretary principal & marketing manager atCDM Smith;

• Karen Wilson - treasurer; marketing manager at Sanborn Head & Associates, Inc.; 

• Karyn Tirabassi, CPSM - director of CPSM certification; senior marketing & business development manager at Capaccio Environmental Engineering, Inc.;

•Kristin Armitage - director of education; proposal manager at Elkus Manfredi Architects;

• Abigail Iorio - director of membership; senior marketing coordinator at HLB Lighting Design;

• Lisa Frisbie - director of programs; director of marketing & communications at AGC MA;

• Chuck Raymond, CPSM - director of outreach; marketing manager at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc.;
