Save the date for the GBREB Installation of Officers & Division Presidents: April 13th, 2022

Boston, MA REFA began a busy month with a virtual Mentor Program kick-off event on February 10th featuring a record 52 mentor/mentee pairs. The REFA Mentor Program provides Emerging Leader members with the opportunity to be paired with a senior-level member for a yearlong membership. REFA organizes 3-4 events throughout the calendar year to bring all participants together. Mentor/mentee pairs are encouraged to connect regularly throughout the program to share ideas, career advice, and act as sounding boards to help with career and professional development.

On February 17th, REFA hosted its Annual Forecasting Program: Clash of the Two Inflations. REFA members had the unique opportunity to hear from Keynote Speaker James Grant, founder & editor of Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, a twice-monthly journal of the investment markets. Grant shared his insight and expertise on where the economy and interest rates are headed.

REFA’s next webinar, REFA Fundamentals: Life Science Real Estate 101 is set for March 22nd at noon. Industry experts Hana Kolton of Jacobs, and Tyson Reynoso, King Street Properties, will discuss the basics of life science real estate, including the unique physical characteristics of life science assets, what makes an existing asset a strong target for conversion, and how life science lenders, investors, and developers underwrite the credit of life science tenants.
