Boston, MA Eric Ross has joined DPS Group as virtual design and construction manager for U.S. operations. Ross will oversee virtual design and construction (VDC) and building information modeling (BIM) for all DPS projects within the U.S.

Ross brings more than 20 years of design and construction experience in Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF), life science and related process industries, and has worked on a variety of project types ranging from pharmaceutical, biotech, ultra-pure water, chemical, Process Lateral Services (PLS), tool install, and bulk gas projects. He has managed capital projects for clients such as Bristol Meyers Squibb, Intel, IBM, and Amgen. Ross received a Professional Certification of Management for Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) from the Associated General Contractors of America. Fewer than 800 professionals in the U.S. have earned this certification.

Serving high-tech industries around the world, DPS designs and builds facilities that turn scientific innovations into life-saving and life-enhancing products.

The firm delivers full-service engineering across a range of disciplines, including project management, procurement, design, construction management, health and safety management, commissioning, qualification and facility start-up. In 2015, DPS opened its Albany office with a focus on the advanced technology, micro-electronics, semi-conductor, and life-sciences industries. Ross’ team will work collaboratively with DPS project teams to improve efficiencies and drive best-in-class quality performance for DPS clients. Current projects include Global Foundries, Aim Photonics, and NextGen.

“We are committed to ensuring DPS delivers the best VDC services to our clients, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies,” said Aidan O’Dwyer, president of U.S. project operations at DPS Group. “Eric will lead the charge to leverage these tools to facilitate the design and construction process for our clients, making projects more seamless, efficient and focused. Our goal is to add value to every project we touch and ensure that our clients have the best experience possible.”

“I decided to join DPS after hearing Aidan’s vision for VD&C and BIM services and because DPS is one of the preeminent global firms in our industry. I’m a very competitive person and have a passion for striving for excellence within a company; and to have found a company where our goals align to is a powerful partnership,” said Ross. “My personal vision is to combine my years of construction knowledge with VD&C and BIM to improve the design and construction process for our clients. I believe it can alleviate confusion, eliminate project delays, and allow us to meet each client’s goals and objectives.”
