RICABOR to host strategic planning session in early spring
According to Jeffrey Butler, 2014 president of the Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors, the Rhode Island based trade group will be hosting a strategic planning session in early Spring of 2014. The board, which represents over 200 commercial property and evaluation specialists will review the mission and goals for the organization over a three-year period.
Butler has stated that membership growth, opportunities for affiliate partnerships, and advancing technology will be the areas of focus. The board has chosen Alice Martin, RCE of Martin Consulting Solutions to facilitate the plan. Martin has a long history with organized real estate. She is the former executive vice president for the Arizona Association of Realtors. She has held positions with the National Association of Realtors as vice president, Association Leadership Development, in February 2008. In her role with NAR, she worked with state and local Realtor associations on leadership training, strategic planning, and NAR and business issues and trends updates. She also led the NAR Association Leadership Development staff on all AE and leadership programs.
Martin is currently an independent consultant to continue strategic planning, leadership training, team-building and other services to Realtor associations across the country.
