Residential Properties Ltd. sells 16 Barnes St. for $1.384 million

Providence, RI Residential Properties Ltd. sold 16 Barnes St., which sold for $1.384 million. The listing agent for this property was sales associate Gerri Schiffman, while sales associates Kira Greene and Michael Sweeney of the Greene | Sweeney Team represented the buyers. All three agents are members of RPL’s Providence office. 

According to MLS, Residential Properties has now listed 16 of the 21 East Side homes to sell for over $1 million this year, including the top three highest East Side sales of 2020.

This Greek Revival style home was custom designed by Bay & Bay Architects and built in 2008. The open layout features ceilings, walls of built-in bookcases, and tall windows. The chef’s kitchen showcases custom cabinetry by Jutras Woodworking, statuario marble countertops, marble subway tile backsplash, stainless appliances, and a center island. The adjoining dining area features a coffered ceiling, built-in china cabinets with a window seat between them, plus access to the city garden.

The second floor has a master suite with a walk-in closet and a bath, and also includes two more bedrooms connected by a full bath, and a laundry room. The third floor offers a family room with access to a south-facing mahogany deck. Plus another bedroom and bathroom. Rounding out the home is a legal garden-level apartment, which can also be used as an au pair or guest suite.
