Related Beal unveils newest residential development - The Quinn

Boston, MA Related Beal has unveiled its newest residential development The Quinn, a 14-story condominium property on Harrison Ave. in the city’s South End neighborhood. Designed by a team of architects that includes Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Meyer Davis, The Quinn will offer 101 studio to four-bedroom residences and deliver a lifestyle for residents through hospitality-focused services, programming and amenities.

“The South End has a rich history and a strong sense of community, and we are excited to become a part of that with The Quinn,” said Kimberly Sherman Stamler, president of Related Beal. “We are creating homes for residents with amenities and services to enhance their lives, within a fantastic location surrounded by art galleries, dining and cocktail options, boutique shops and green spaces.”

The name pays homage to the block’s former identity as the historic Quinzani Bakery. Stern has more than 30 years of experience in Boston and has designed some of the city’s most celebrated buildings, including The Clarendon and Lovejoy Wharf. Internationally recognized interior design firm Meyer Davis is known for its residential and hospitality portfolio including Four Seasons, Rosewood Hotels, Le Méridien and The Ritz Carlton. Both firms were inspired by the South End’s blend of historic Victorian brick row houses and industrial warehouses. They infused these elements into every detail of The Quinn, from its exterior façade to the residences, which offer beautiful Back Bay views and a wide range of unique floor plans.

Residents will have a place to call home within an established and energetic community filled with some of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants such as Oishii, Stella, and Myers + Chang, trendy boutiques, art galleries, and fitness studios including CorePower Yoga, Recycle Studio, Barre3 and more. The South End’s authentic character combined with new locally owned retail and dining options make it the perfect neighborhood for all buyers. The Quinn offers a convenient location surrounded by local markets, grocery stores, and green spaces, and is at the center of one of the most coveted food and dining scenes. For residents in need of an easy commute, The Quinn is also in close proximity to South Station and within walking distance of Back Bay and the Financial District.

The Quinn adds to Related Beal’s impressive portfolio that includes some of Boston’s most renowned residential spaces throughout the city. To date, the firm has developed The Clarendon, One Back Bay, The Arlington and Lovejoy Wharf.

The Quinn is under construction and scheduled to open in late fall of 2020. Sales are being led by Related Beal and The Collaborative Companies.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
