PROCON refreshes space at Renaissance Patriot Place Hotel

Foxborough, MA The Renaissance Boston-Patriot Place Hotel by Marriott recently unveiled its newly renovated concierge space. The 138,000 s/f hotel opened in 2009 and is adjacent to Gillette Stadium - home to the New England Patriots. PROCON was the original design-build firm and completed the recent refurbishments. XSS Hotels owns the property, which anchors the stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues at Patriot Place.

Several first floor enhancements were implemented at the Renaissance. A relocated and redesigned concierge (club) area was moved from the fifth floor down to the first floor.  It features charcoal grays and dark earthy tones that blend with the overall hotel decor. The first floor also received two new meeting rooms across from the indoor pool. The Stadium Room seats up to 20 people and the Club Board Room seats up to eight people, and both are available by reservation for private meetings. Two additional king guest-rooms were added to the fifth floor; one with views of Gillette Stadium and the practice facility through its two corner windows.

The Renaissance offers amenities, such as multi-purpose lobby spaces for relaxation, socializing and entertainment, and distinctive room designs and services. The hotel’s 98-seat restaurant and lounge, Twenty8™ features a 60-foot bar & stone hearth oven and a private dining room. The Patriot Ballroom is available for functions and partitions into two smaller rooms as needed. Additionally, the hotel provides an enclosed business space, fitness center, and an indoor pool. Colwen Hotels manages the establishment.

Millions of travelers annually visit the Patriot Place shopping/entertainment hub and Gillette Stadium. The convenient location of the Renaissance Patriot Place Hotel has ensured it consistently sold out since its opening. The Renaissance is soon to be joined by a second hotel currently underway at Patriot Place, and also designed and built by PROCON. The 136-key Foxborough Hilton Garden Inn will offer visitors to the area an additional upscale option for their overnight accommodations. The five-story hotel will be open to guests in the fall of 2016.
