PROCON completes renovation of 80,000 s/f Ashworth-by-the-Sea Hotel

Ashworth-by-the-Sea hotel has occupied a corner of Ocean Blvd. in Hampton Beach for 100-years. The hotel recently underwent a series of renovations, with the latest beginning in January 2015 and was completed in advance of the summer season. PROCON was the architect and construction manager for the renovations. The property is owned by XSS Hotels and is being managed by Colwen Hotels. The 80,000 s/f hotel has been refreshed to blend in modern updates, while retaining its historic appeal. The newly renovated lobby space features a contemporary design with fresh color schemes and artwork. New seating allows guests to enjoy beach views through a new glass wall. The front entrance was relocated and outfitted with automatic glass doors for better guest accessibility. Tech-savvy travelers can stay connected in the newly added 24-hour business center, which includes two computers, printer and complimentary WiFi service. The public bathrooms were also upgraded with modern elements. Additionally, guests can now enjoy the convenience of a new 24-hour market for sundries. The hotel features many additional travel-friendly amenities including a heated pool and fitness room. 6,000 s/f of private function/meeting spaces are a venue for weddings, corporate retreats, or social gatherings. The hotel also has two onsite restaurants with oceanfront views. The 107-room Ashworth is the only full-service oceanfront hotel in Hampton Beach. It offers double queen or single king accommodations, and seven executive junior suites. Summer vacationers may also take advantage of the nautical-themed Ashworth Summer Cottage, that is near the beach and sleeps six.
