Pro Con completes steel framing and roof for Exel's 243,500 s/f distribution facility

Exel Inc's new 243,500 s/f warehouse/distribution center located at 683 Rte. 3A is progressing on schedule. Exel Inc will provide warehousing services for the State of New Hampshire's liquor commission out of the new facility. Pro Con Inc of Manchester, is the architect and construction manager for the distribution center. "The steel framing and the roof are complete and the installation of the exterior metal panels was completed in mid-July," said the project manager for Pro Con Inc. "The interior slab-on-grade and the interior offices were completed by the end of July." Pro Con Inc designed the single-story distribution center to have 21 truck dock positions, with possibility of adding an additional 12 dock positions in the future. The building's exterior finish will be insulated metal panels with painted concrete block up to 16-ft. high at the loading dock area and a TPO roof system. The building's interior will have a 40-ft. clear height to the underside of the joists; with storage racks to 37-ft. and the aisles will be approximately 10-ft. wide to allow for freight handling. Pro Con Inc will provide the building's shell and the interior finishes for the administrative offices, break room, training classroom and cooler space. Exel will provide and install the storage racking system. Pro Con Inc began site work for the design-build project in February and has scheduled a mid-September completion date for the facility. Exel Inc provides customized supply chain solutions and third-party logistics including: supply chain design, consulting, warehousing, fulfillment, and transportation services to help companies be more productive, more efficient and more competitive.
